Events are a central part of how the APA builds knowledge, develops policy and strengthens collective accountability.

We convene communities, families, campaigners, academics, policing professionals, public bodies and civil society organisations to examine difficult issues in depth. Our events are designed to do more than generate discussion. They help establish evidence, identify priorities, build relationships and create mandates for further action.

Beyond individual events

Our events form part of a wider organising and policy cycle.

Community testimony and discussion inform reports. Reports shape advocacy. Advocacy creates demands for institutional response. The learning from each stage then strengthens our accountability structures and future work.
