Our Funders

Independent community accountability requires sustained investment. Communities cannot be expected to scrutinise well-resourced public institutions through unpaid labour alone.
Funding enables us to convene communities, develop policy, support local accountability structures, undertake research, organise events, strengthen our communications and build the systems needed for long-term scrutiny.
We are grateful to the organisations that currently support our work.

Our approach to funding
Our independence is central to our work. Funding must not give any institution control over community priorities, appointments, findings, publication or advocacy.
We aim to build a diverse and sustainable funding base so that the APA can develop as an independent organisation while continuing to support locally owned accountability work.

Action for Race Equality
Action for Race Equality has played an important role in the APA's development, including providing financial, administrative and organisational support during our formative period.
As the APA moves towards independence, we remain committed to protecting the partnerships and shared purpose that have helped make our work possible.
